Pear Tree Trellis Rust

Trellis Rust (aka European Pear Rust), caused by the fungus Gymnosporangium sabinae (=Gymnosprangium fuscan), has spread throughout Southeast Michigan. Originally from Europe, the disease may represent a serious health threat to Pyrus species, both ornamental and fruit pear types.
