Dog Parks
The City of Grosse Pointe Woods is excited to announce the new Mack Avenue Dog Park!
Dog Park Passes are available at the Grosse Pointe Woods Community Center. Dog Park Passes will allow entrance to both the Mack Avenue Dog Park and the Lake Front Park Dog Park. In addition, dogs with approved dog park passes may be walked on leash throughout the Lake Front Park.
- Dog Park Pass fee is $50.00 per household.
- All residents applying for a Dog Park Pass must provide proof of: current GPW Dog License, current vaccinations of Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, and homeowner’s liability insurance with at least $100,000.00 in coverage which includes coverage for injury/damage caused by the animal.
- All residents applying for a Dog Park Pass must agree to the Lake Front Park and Mack Avenue Off-Leash Dog Park Rules.
- Dog Park Passes expire December 31 of each year.
- A pass cannot be issued to puppies under 4 months old due to the need for all vaccinations.
- A limit of 2 dogs per adult when visiting the park. Up to 3 dogs in a household can be registered on the same pass/fob.
Mack Avenue Dog Park:

The Mack Avenue dog park is located on the westside of Mack between the Robert E. Novitke Municipal Center and the Torrey Rd parking lot.
- Installation of benches, agility equipment, and water fountains for dogs and their owners will occur in the spring.
Lake Front Park Dog Park:

The Lake Front Park dog park is located between the Milk River and the Ford property along Jefferson Avenue in Lake Front Park.
- Dogs with approved Dog Park Passes may be walked on leash throughout the Lake Front Park.
