Kindcall Care Program

A Public Safety Dispatcher calls the resident daily at a pre-approved time. If no one answers the phone, a Public Safety officer responds to the home to assure the resident is safe. The service is upon request and without charge and can be obtained by completing the form below or by calling the Department at 313-343-2400.

Crime Mapping

Use the CrimeMapping.com website to map crime in your area. This brief YouTube video has been very popular in explaining crime mapping.

Bicycle Licenses

Bicycle licenses are required and can be purchased at the Public Safety Department for $1.

Garage Sale Signs

These are allowed but must be no larger than 24" x 30" and can be placed only on private property. Signs cannot be on city property, road medians, or on utility or street light poles.

Gun Safety Locks

The Grosse Pointe Woods Department of Public Safety is distributing gun locks free of charge. Gun locks are available 24 hours a day at Public Safety Dispatch located at 20025 Mack Plaza.
