Probation Testing

If you are required to test while on probation, it is your responsibility to make sure that you test on the dates/times/locations that was ordered. Missed tests may result in a violation unless you make up the test within 24 hours of the missed test and notify your probation officer. If you are currently on prescribed medications, you must show all prescriptions to the testing agency upon registering for testing and notify your probation officer of all prescriptions and changes to prescriptions. Any positive or dilute* tests will be considered a violation of probation.

To prevent dilute samples:
                  1. Test first thing in the morning before emptying your bladder.
                  2. Do not consume large amounts of liquids two hours before testing.
                  3. Do not consume diuretics.

*Diluted samples are typically used as a way to circumvent the testing and as such, is treated the same as a positive test. Speak to the testing agency before providing a sample if you have concerns that your sample may be diluted. You may be instructed to empty your bladder and come back the same day to provide a valid sample. Suspicion of a diluted sample does not excuse you from testing and will result in a missed and/or suspected positive test.
