Public Safety Auxiliary Officer Volunteer

The Grosse Pointe Woods Public Safety Auxiliary Unit is looking for new volunteers 18 years of age and older to add to their ranks.

GPWPSD Auxiliaries are uniformed, unarmed, non-sworn Public Safety Officers who assist the Department during emergencies and planned events.

An Auxiliary Public Safety Officer participates in training and attends a two-hour meeting once per month (except for the months of July and August). The City supplies uniforms and equipment. Applicants residing within 15 miles of Grosse Pointe Woods are preferred.
